To cater for the increasing demand for WiFi coverage in public areas, Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) has introduced nationwide WiFi service to the public on 8th December 2015. TelBru WiFi service allows our customers to have more flexible utilization of our TelBru WiFi and making the network accessible to the public.


The service will provide you a more secure, reliable and speedy WiFi connectivity enabling you to have WiFi access during your leisure time.

TelBru Nationwide WiFi also has a postpaid service which allows customers to access and utilize their home broadband quota at available TelBru WiFi locations.

  • This service allows concurrent usage in which there will be two devices, which can enjoy the WiFi at the same time. Visit any TelBru branches if customer wishes to add on additional concurrent devices. The maximum no of concurrent logins allowed is 5 (2 at default for free). Users will be charged $1 as a monthly recurring charge for this concurrent usage.
  • Customers will have to ensure proper log off/disconnect from their WiFi to stop usage either by switching off their WiFi setting or by disconnecting their WIFI from TelBru website and click log out by entering username and service number.
  • When customers do not switch off their TelBru Post-Paid WiFi, customers will be automatically connected to other TelBru WiFi networks only within a 15 minutes range as our WiFi is designed to be seamless.
  • Customer's home broadband on throttled status are advised to Top Up their home quota as they will not be able to connect to the service. (Top Ups can be purchased through My TelBru app, My TelBru online and over the counter at any TelBru Branches).
  • If customer finishes their home quota and reach throttled status while on Post-paid WiFi, their internet connection will be disconnected and user will be directed to a notification message.

TelBru Prepaid Wi-Fi It is a 'pay as you use' form of Wi-Fi broadband service. It will be available as a convenient service made available to be used by all members of the public. With this service, they can get access to internet with a speed up to 5Mbps for an allocated period of time.

Step 1

Select “TelBru WiFi” network at any TelBru WiFi Zone. Once connected, you will be redirected to a splash page. Select “TelBru WiFi Postpaid”.

(Note: If the splash page did not appear, please open your browser and browse to google.com, you will be automatically redirected to the splash page)

Step 2

On the login page, customers can fill in their existing “My TelBru” credentials (username and password) and their existing service phone number and click “Agree and Submit”.

(Note: Customers need to sign up with “My TelBru” in order to enjoy this service)


Step 3

Upon successful login, please click the TelBru website link to start surfing.


Logout Guide

Users will remain connected to the TelBru WiFi network once successfully logged in. However, with TelBru WiFi, users will have the option to logout and use a different Postpaid Account or switch to a Prepaid WiFi Service. If you would like to disconnect your device from the TelBru WiFi network, please follow the Logout Guide below.

  1. Visit TelBru’s Homepage on your device browser (http://www.telbru.com.bn).
  2. Click on the WiFi Logout link at the bottom of the page.
  3. Enter your credentials in the fields provided.
  4. Click “Logout” to access the logout feature.
  5. Select the MAC address of the device(s) you would like to disconnect from the TelBru WiFi network.
  6. Click “Logout From Device(s)” to disconnect the selected device(s) from the TelBru WiFi network.
  7. If successful, your device will be disconnected from the TelBru Postpaid WiFi service.

How To Retrieve Your Mac Address

For Windows:

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Locate the ‘Run’ text box, type “cmd” and press Enter. This will open the command window.
  3. At the command prompt, type “ipconfig /all” and press Enter.
  4. Under the section Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi, you will find your Physical Address. This is the MAC Address for your device.
  5. Copy or note down the information provided and close the command prompt window.

For Mac:

  1. Click on System Preferences from the Apple menu at the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Choose Network from the list of interfaces on the left and click on the ‘Advanced’ button.
  3. Select the Hardware tab and copy or note down your MAC Address provided.

For iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch:

  1. Tap the Settings icon on your screen.
  2. Scroll down and select General.
  3. Select About.
  4. Copy or note down your MAC Address listed as Wi-Fi Address.

For Android:

  1. On the Home Screen, tap the Menu key and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select ‘About Tablet’.
  3. Select Status.
  4. Copy or note down your MAC Address provided.

Step 1

Select “TelBru WiFi” network at any TelBru WiFi Zone. Once connected, you will be redirected to a splash page. Select “TelBru WiFi Prepaid”.

Enter your Prepaid Plan PIN Code and click “Agree and Submit”.

What is TelBru Postpaid WiFi?

TelBru Postpaid WiFi is a nationwide internet coverage service that allows users to access and utilize their Residential Broadband plan quota at various TelBru WiFi Zones around the country.
Note: Corporate customers will not be able to access TelBru Postpaid WiFi.


How can I access TelBru Postpaid WiFi service?

In order to access the service, users would simply need to connect their device to the “TelBru WiFi” SSID, click on “TelBru WiFi Postpaid” and follow the login instructions provided.

Do I need to login when reentering a TelBru WiFi Zone?

No. Upon login, the user will be seamlessly connected to the TelBru WiFi network for a 30 day period. No relogin will be required upon re-entering a TelBru WiFi Zone.


Do I need to be a TelBru subscriber to access this service?

Yes. In order to access TelBru Postpaid WiFi, users must be subscribed to TelBru’s Residential Broadband plan and registered with My TelBru (the same login credentials will be used for the service).


How many devices can I use to connect to TelBru Postpaid WiFi?

By default, all existing subscribers of TelBru’s Residential Broadband plan will be allocated two (2) concurrent devices for access to TelBru Postpaid WiFi. However, users may subscribe for additional concurrent devices for a monthly fee of B$1.00 per additional device at any TelBru branch.
Note: Each service number will only be allowed a maximum of five (5) concurrent devices.


What devices can I use to connect to TelBru Postpaid WiFi?

TelBru Postpaid WiFi supports all WiFi enabled devices that looks for an internet connection.


How will TelBru Postpaid WiFi affect my Residential Broadband plan?

Once connected to TelBru Postpaid WiFi, the service will consume your home data quota allocated to the respective broadband plan subscribed. There will be no additional charges to the account for using the service.


What do I do if I forgot My TelBru login credentials?

Users are able to reset their password on MyTelBru web selfcare and mobile app. A guide will be available on how to reset your password.


Where can I access TelBru Postpaid WiFi?

TelBru Postpaid WiFi is available at any TelBru WiFi Zone around the nation at various shopping malls and complexes, businesses, and cafes & restaurants.

How do I logout from TelBru Postpaid WiFi?

Users are able to logout from the service by visiting the TelBru website and clicking “WiFi Logout” from the menu bar.

Will I get the same speed as my subscribed Residential Broadband plan?

No. TelBru Postpaid WiFi bandwidth speed is best effort. Each device will receive a speed of up to 5 Mbps per device.
Note: Bandwidth speeds are subject to coverage, distance, and connection traffic.


If my Residential Broadband plan is throttled, will I still be able to use TelBru Postpaid WiFi?

No. Users Residential Broadband service status must be unthrottled to access TelBru Postpaid WiFi. To unthrottle, users may purchase top up from My TelBru web selfcare or mobile app.


How secure is TelBru Postpaid WiFi?

Users are responsible for taking such steps as they deem necessary to protect the security, integrity, and availability of their networks, systems, services, and information, and to restrict access to undesired content, sites, and services.

It is a ‘pay as you use’ form of WiFi broadband service.

How and where can I purchase Prepaid Plan for TelBru Prepaid WiFi?

TelBru WiFi Prepaid Plans are available to users through an online purchase option or a physical scratch card. Physical scratch cards are attainable at all TelBru branches and participating merchants.

To purchase an online Prepaid Plan, users would be required to connect to the “TelBru WiFi” network at any TelBru WiFi Zone, click “TelBru WiFi Prepaid” and follow the instructions.

  1. Connect to TelBru WiFi.
  2. Select TelBru WiFi Prepaid.
  3. Click the link to purchase.
  4. Select your preferred Prepaid Plan.
  5. Enter your phone number, first name, last name and a valid e-mail address (this is required to receive a copy of your purchase transaction).
  6. Choose your mode of payment either by VISA or MasterCard (debit or credit card).
  7. Once successful, a summary of your purchase transaction and PIN Code will be displayed.
  8. To login, click “Go back to prepaid page” and enter the given PIN Code in the field provided.
  9. Click “Agree and Submit”.
For TelBru Prepaid WiFi Scratch Cards
  1. Lightly scratch off the protective ink to reveal the Prepaid Plan PIN Code.
  2. Connect your device to “TelBru WiFi” network.
  3. Select TelBru WiFi Prepaid option.
  4. Enter the PIN Code as shown on the Prepaid Plan scratch card in the field provided
  5. Click “Agree and Submit”.
Note: Online purchases will carry a validity of six (6) months upon purchase. Upon activation, the Prepaid Plan duration will come into effect.


What Prepaid Plans are available?

  1. 1 Day Unlimited Quota = B$3.00.
  2. 3 Days 500MB Quota = B$3.00.
  3. 3 Days 1GB Quota = B$5.00.


Is there an expiry date for the Prepaid Plan?

Yes. The expiry date for each Prepaid Plan is activated upon your first successful login.

  1. 1 Day Unlimited Quota = B$3.00.
    Users are able to enjoy one (1) day of Unlimited Quota for 24 hours from activation of the PIN Code provided.
  2. 3 Days 500MB Quota = B$3.00.
    For this usage plan, users can enjoy three (3) days of 500MB of data once the Prepaid Plan is activated with the PIN Code provided.
  3. 3 Days 1GB Quota = B$5.00.
    With this three (3) day plan, users can enjoy 1GB of data once the Prepaid Plan is activated with the PIN Code provided. You are also able to view the expiry date of the purchased Prepaid Plan once you have successfully logged in.


How do I logout from TelBru Prepaid WiFi?

Users simply need to disable the WiFi setting on their device to logout from the TelBru Prepaid WiFi service.


Where can I check the remaining data available for the purchased Prepaid Plan?

You are able to monitor your sessions via the Self-Care Portal "Account Summary". On the Account Summary page, users will find their PIN Code, data & time balance, and “Start Surfing Now” button.


What happens when a customer finishes their data on a purchased Prepaid Plan?

Once a user has exceeded their quota limit, they will be removed from the TelBru Prepaid WiFi service.


Why I am unable to login to the TelBru WiFi network with the given PIN Code?

The PIN Code is case sensitive and alphanumeric. You may need to check whether any of the following might have caused the problem:

  • CAPS lock is enabled.
  • Typographical error.

Yes. TelBru Prepaid WiFi is available for both existing and non-existing TelBru subscribers.


How many devices can I use to connect to TelBru Prepaid WiFi?

TelBru Prepaid WiFi is accessible for only one (1) device per PIN Code. If a PIN Code is currently in use, another device will not be able to connect concurrently.

I forgot my PIN Code, how do I retrieve it?

For online purchases, a copy of your Prepaid Plan details including the PIN Code will be sent to the registered email address after successful purchased.


I am unable to read the PIN Code as I have over-scratched my TelBru Prepaid WiFi scratch card, how do I retrieve it? Applicable if scratch card has a misprint.

Kindly contact Customer Care Centre 111. Provide the serial number of your TelBru WiFi Prepaid scratch card and the call agent will retrieve the given PIN Code.
