TelBru and BruNet Clarification on 'BruNet Website Undergoing Upgrade' Article in Borneo Bulletin, 1st May 2010

Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) and BruNet wish to categorically clarify that it did not issue the announcement and subsequent contents in relation to article ‘BruNet website undergoing upgrade’ on Borneo Bulletin Weekend (1st May 2010). TelBru and BruNet iterate that the article and related contents was published without the prior knowledge nor consent from TelBru and BruNet.

Most importantly, TelBru and BruNet wish to advise all its users that the claim of request on users’ to provide username, password and other confidential information is false and misleading. TelBru and BruNet DO NOT SEEK for users’ confidential information through the means of email and have constantly advised its users’ TO NOT reveal any personal information to any suspicious email.

TelBru and BruNet again advise it users’ to ignore any email in the future that seek for any personal information especially in regards to passwords and other confidential matter. If in doubt, TelBru and BruNet encourage users’ to contact 111 for clarification and confirmation.
