The Japanese occupation during World War II brought submarine cables connecting Brunei and Labuan . Water cables were also installed in Brunei 's rivers. After the war, a wireless telegraph circuit was launched and the first High Frequency station was built.

Wireless telegraph circuit using manual operation was made available.
