1920s
Telecommunication services were first introduced to Brunei in 1920, when international wireless telegraph circuits were built to link the country to Labuan . In 1922, two more stations were built in Temburong and Brooketown (now known as Muara). The wireless communication service was connected to Belait district in 1925.

The first telephone circuit was installed inking the British Resident's office to his residence.

Wireless communication services were connected to Belait district.
